We aim to offer non-urgent appts within 48hrs and emergency appts will be seen on the same day. Please let us know if you are unable to keep your appointment or if you are going to be more than 10 minutes late, you may need to rebook your appointment.
We are implementing Appointments Online. We will have a some GP, Practice Nurse, Ante-natal and also Health Care Assistant appointments available online each day. Please speak to the Reception staff if you wish to register to use Emis Access.
Appointments given after initial consultation with the GP
If you wish to speak to a doctor or nurse, please give you details to the receptionist who may ask you to ring back at the end of surgery, or if call is urgent, will put your call through to GP who is available.
If possible please try to telephone reception before 10am if you require a home visit.
A doctor or nurse may phone you back as it may be that your problem can be dealt with by telephone advice, or that it would be more appropriate to send a nurse, or indeed arrange a hospital attendance.
Please remember that several patients can be seen in the practice in the time that it takes to make one home visit. There are also better facilities for examining and treating patients at the practice.

You can also be visited by the Community Nurse, if you are referred by the GP. You should also be visited by the Health Visitor if you have recently had a baby or if you are a newly registered with the practice and have a child under the age of 5 years.

Please contact the surgery in 3-4 working days after 2.00pm for blood results. The receptionist is not able to discuss the results with you, but will be able to inform you if the GP has recorded that the test was normal. You may be asked to see the GP or the practice nurse if there were any abnormalities found.
Note that the practice has a strict policy regarding confidentiality and data protection and we will only release test results to the person to whom they relate unless that person has given prior permission for the release of this data or they are not capable of understanding the results.
When you take your test you will be told how long it will be before the results are returned to the practice. It is your responsibility to check your results and to make an appointment to discuss them with your doctor if your are advised to do so.
