Patient group

We have an active patient participation group at our practice.

All registered patients are welcome to join the Patient Participation Group, we are currently working with our Neighboring Practices and TABA PCN as a Collaborative to improve the PPG group.  Our group meets regularly approximately every 8 or 12 weeks. Members can be contacted through reception.

Our Practice and PPG is one of the local medical practices that comprise the TABA Group of Practices in the Tyldesley, Atherton, Boothstown and Astley Area (TABA)

TABA aims and objectives include:-

  • A consortium based Patient Liaison group in order to engage with its patients to work together on shaping future services in General practice.
  • Communication links with patients about services being delivered and issues relating to the delivery and use of them; this may or may not be directed by local or national policies.

The TABA Patient Participation group ( made up of a patient representative from each of the TABA practices) aim to meet four times a year and during that time develop ways to meet and listen to the views of the patients in TABA practices.

We would like to know how we can improve our service to you and how you perceive our surgery and staff.

To help us with this, we are setting up a virtual patient representation group so that you can have your say. We will ask the members of this representative group some questions from time to time, such as what you think about our opening times or the quality of the care or service you received. We will contact you via email and keep our surveys succinct so it shouldn’t take too much of your time.

We aim to gather around a hundred patients from as broad a spectrum as possible to get a truly representative sample. We need young people, workers, retirees, people with long term conditions and people from non-British ethnic groups.
